Dopamine receptors and the flu virus: type B uses D1 receptors

Hypothesis: Virus families use receptor families. The flu viruses use dopamine receptors.

type A  D2

type B  D1

type C  D5


D2 receptors are expressed on the pancreas

Type A flu viruses appear to infect pancreatic cells


Type B influenza have produced rashes
