Is the first stage of autoimmune disease an infection?

Page under construction:

Hypothesis is that there exists 2 stages of autoimmunity: first an infection that builds up antibodies then a virus which causes the immune system to cross-target on self.

Separating the 2 stages of autoimmune disease.

The allo-antibodies avidity compared to the auto-antibodies that are present in celiac disease. why would e.coli be so strong? is it because e.coli is the first infection?
